Q. Bought a seasoned pot option, but soot comes out
A. Soot can come out at first even though it was seasoned. However it is not like substances coated on normal kitchen utensils. Never harmful with little bit of intake.

Q. It got rusty
A. Cast iron products can get rusty with the way you care. You can season the rusty part or the whole pot again.
* How to care: Place it in a cool and airy place and the paper towel in between the pot can help rust-resistant.
* Rusty pot is not good to see, but not harmful for human body.

Q. Bought a non-seasoned pot and black water keeps coming out while cleaning it for many times.
A. Non-seasoned pot is like solid state of molten iron. If you washed the pot multiple times, you can start seasoning despite of black water.

Q. Self-seasoning doesn’t work
A. Self-seasoning can be difficult if you are not used to it, and it cannot be perfectly seasoned for one time. Please just understand that you keep seasoning the pot while using it. If the pot is not seasoned properly, it can get rusty easily.

How to self-season the pot
(Not recommended to someone who uses cast iron pot for the first time)

1. Scrub skillet well in hot soapy water
2. Dry thoroughly with heat on (removing any residue on the surface with burning it up)
3. Spread a thin layer of melted shortening or vegetable oil over the pot
4. Bake the pot
5. Repeat number 3 and 4 many times (more than 3 times)
6. Pot gets dark brown during the procedure above, and shines in black when you turn the heat off and let it cool
7. Season the outer surface with same way

• There are two options: seasoned / non-seasoned (Seasoning takes about 1 to 3 days and the seasoned cast iron pot cannot be refunded as it is custom-option for non-seasoned pot).
• Cast-iron pot is Made in Korea eco-friendly and semi-permanent kitchen item with regular seasoning (Size can be different from 0.4 to 0.8 inch as it’s all hand-made).
• Following features are not regarded as product faults as those are natural characteristics of cast iron & the product made with it; partial rust / sharp edge / surface crack (can be made when the molten iron follows) so if you use the cast iron pot for the first time, we recommend you to choose seasoned pot option. We’ll season it carefully for you.
